Up for a hiking challenge? Opened in 1977 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s silver jubilee, the Wychavon Way is a 40-mile footpath.

It originally went from Holt Fleet, through Droitwich, to Winchcombe, where it linked up  with the Cotswold Way. In 2012, a revised route was unveiled, this time to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Starting in Vines Park, Droitwich, and ending in the picture perfect Cotswolds town of Broadway, it now stays entirely within the district of Wychavon.

You can break the walk with an overnight stay in Pershore. A guidebook is available.
