The Lido Pool is the hottest ticket in the region when the mercury rises. Long queues build up before opening time and remain until well into the afternoon.

Located in the Lido Park, it’s one of the UK’s few remaining open-air saltwater swimming pools. Brine from the lakes beneath Droitwich (see ‘Salt’) is added to the pool to make it the same density as sea water.

Originally built in the 1930s in Art Deco style, it now boasts a cafe, sun terraces and a wet play area for kids, too.

The car park was the site of an indoor pool, which fell into disrepair and was replaced by a new one at the town’s leisure centre.

In 2021 the Lido made the Guardian newspaper’s ‘Top 10 Outdoor Pools in Britain’.
