The Barge Canal and Junction Canal form part of the 21-mile Mid-Worcestershire cruising ring, along with the Worcester & Birmingham Canal and the River Severn.

With 33 locks to negotiate, it’s the only ring on British waterways that boaters can comfortably negotiate in one weekend.

A sponsored walk along the ring in aid of St Richard’s Hospice takes place every August.
